The evaluation was commissioned by Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI) and carried out by Sthlm Policy Group AB between November 2022 and June 2023.
The evaluation of RWI's Regional Asia-Pacific Programme (RAPP) aims to effectively address human rights issues in the region. The RAPP is particularly relevant due to its focus on human rights, gender mainstreaming in climate change resilience/adaptation, business and human rights, and sustainability.
The RAPP aims to connect with various levels of influence, coordination, and governance in local, national, regional, and global spheres. RWI effectively engages directly with influential actors and networks, partnering with local organisations to learn from them and amplify knowledge at regional and global levels. The programme has successfully raised awareness and strengthened knowledge of the interconnectivity between human rights, gender equality, and the environment.
The RAPP’s activities are a combination of regional and national efforts, focusing on sharing knowledge through research, training, and events. The RAPP’s objective is to produce evidence- based information related to the environment, climate change, and sustainability from a human rights perspective.
